Frequently asked questions

We want to be sure to answer all your questions, here are the most common questions we get asked about our workshops and retreats.

My English is bad – can I still come?2020-10-19T15:14:29+02:00

OF COURSE!!!!

And I’m sure your English is perfect.

I speak many languages and will be able to help you in case there is something you do not understand.

I am not creative / I cannot paint – can I still come?2020-10-19T15:12:22+02:00

OF COURSE!!!!

And you ARE creative!

Everyone is.

And the Intuitive Painting workshops or any other creative workshops are set up to prove this. Creativity is not something you either have or don’t have. It is a skill which means it can be learned. And our workshops are here to help you learn to be even more creative than you already are!

Why group events?2016-09-01T08:45:52+02:00

There is something extremely powerful about participating in a workshop or retreat as part of a group. We have found that spending time in a structured setting with other women who experience similar thoughts, experiences, and feelings, helps us to feel reassured that we’re not alone – or inadequate – or just plain crazy. It also feels more courageous and committed because we must “put ourselves out there” – and let our real self be seen. The results are quite powerful given the brief amount of time we share together.

What is the maximum number of participants?2016-09-01T20:49:00+02:00

We are committed to creating a nurturing and trusting environment for each of our events so that you feel that you are receiving personal attention. For that reason, we keep our workshops relatively small. Painting workshops tend to have a maximum of participants (unless organised elsewhere than our studio) and other workshops (such a Visionboard workshop) tend to have a maximum of 20 participants.

What if I want to dig deeper after the event?2016-09-01T20:51:32+02:00

The workshops are designed to work through the steps as outlined. Feel free to ask for any help you need during the event.

When you are ready, we invite you to participate in “Follow-on Sessions” as outlined during the event or on our website.

You may also find it helpful to sign up for the Create & Connect weekly newsletter or follow the blog.

You are welcome to contact Miranda directly if you’re feeling like you need a little nudge.

I feel guilty for taking the time away from people and responsibilities in my life – and spending the money on myself – to do this.2016-09-01T20:52:28+02:00

You’re not alone. We hear that from many participants who are just not used to putting themselves first. And, isn’t it possible that that’s part of the reason you feel the way you feel now? There’s no time like the present to take positive action. Think of it in terms of investing in your happiness and well-being – which will give you the energy and enthusiasm to share with the people who are important in your life. It’s like they advise when you are on an airplane – you must put your oxygen mask on first if you really want to be able to help someone else.

We’re 100% confident that our events will be authentic, engaging, thought-provoking, creative, inspiring and transformational. You have nothing to lose by enrolling. Make the commitment to yourself and a more balanced and creative life today.

Do I have to talk openly about my process?2016-09-01T20:53:31+02:00

No – no one is forced to talk. However, we create a safe environment in our workshops and encourage all participants to engage fully. It helps the group and individuals to create awareness and get the most out of other participant’s input. Sometimes participants start out a bit hesitantly because they are unsure what to expect and feel uncertain about how their process will be received. Once they realize that the event is a safe environment – and what is said there stays there – they tend to open up. Sometimes it feels good to get things off your chest or to share your dreams and fears with others. It helps you move forward.

I’m not sure I can afford the workshop.2016-09-01T20:54:16+02:00

We do our best to balance quality offerings with cost consciousness to make our events and other services accessible to you. Some of our events offer an installment plan to help you make this self-investment possible. Ultimately, you have to believe that you are worth it.
